All Students, Grades PK-12
Monday, August 7, 2023, from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm

Held at the Middle School Gymnasium 1300 N 16th Street

Limited attendance preferred so that we may process registration in a quick & efficient manner for all families

Please be prepared to pay the followin.g fees at registration.

• High School Fees: Pay at Registration
  Instruction Fee: $55 per student
   
• Middle School Fees: Pay at Registration
  Instruction Fee: $55 per student
   
• Elementary School Fees: Pay at Registration
  Instruction Fee: $45 per student

Family Maximum for Textbooks is $210

• Meal Prices
  Breakfast: Student $1.95, Adult $2.50
  Lunch (K-12): Student $2.90, Adult $4.84
  Extra Milk: $0.45
   

Credit/Debit, Cash or Checks will be accepted please make checks payable to Chariton Schools - payment due at time of Registration.  

Registration Forms

• Medications at School
  If your child requires medication that needs to be given at school, during school hours, a Medications at School form must be filled out and on file in the school office.
   
• Refusal for Authorization for Student Directory
  The school district has designated the following information as directory information: student's name, grade level, participation in officially recognized activities and sports; weight and height of members of athletics teams; dates of attendance; degrees and awards received; and other similar information.
  
  You have the right to refuse the designation of any or all of the categories of personally-identifiable information as directory information with respect to your student, provided that you notify the school district. If you desire to make such a refusal, please complete and return this form.

School Schedules

First Day of School: Wednesday,  August 23, 2023 (90-minute early dismissal)

• Preschool:
  Report at 8:00 am for Morning PK or 12:00 pm for Afternoon PK
• Grades K-5:
  Report to assigned homerooms at 8:10 a.m.
• Grades 6-8
  Report to the M.S. Gymnasium at 8:05 a.m.
• Grades 9-12
  Report to J.F. Auditorium at 8:15 a.m.

Regular School Schedules

• Preschool, AM: 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
• Preschool, PM: 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Columbus Elementary (K-2): 8:10 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.
• Van Allen Elementary (3-5): 8:10 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.
• Middle School (6-8): 8:05 a.m. to 3:18 p.m.
• High School (9-12): 8:05 a.m. to 3:25 p.m.
