Registration 2017-2018

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

All Students - Grades PK-12

Thursday, August 3, 2017 - 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

High School Cafeteria, 501 North Grand

Please be prepared to pay the following fees at registration:

High School Fees:  Pay at Registration

Textbook Fee (family maximum - $150.00)     $30.00

Technology Fee (family maximum - $50.00)    $30.00

Middle School Fees:  Pay at Registration

Textbook Fee (family maximum - $150.00)     $30.00

Technology Fee (family maximum - $50.00)    $30.00

Band Fees:

Will be handled individually with the teacher

Elementary School Fees:  Pay at Registration

Textbook Fee  (family maximum - $150.00)    $20.00

Student athletic Activity Tickets (optional)           $35.00

Lunch Prices:

Lunch - K-12...............................................$2.65

Breakfast................................................... $1.80

Extra Milk...................................................$  .45

Morning Milk - K-5 per semester............. ....$32.00

The Free and Reduced Lunch Applications can be found on CSD website. You must apply for Free and Reduced lunches annually.   Please bring the completed forms to registration. The food service department will begin serving lunches, breakfast, salad bar and morning milk on the first day of school, Tuesday, August 23, 2017.  Click this link to download the Free & Reduced Application

CCSD INFORMATION:

The Elementary and Middle Schools have a complete program PK-8 accredited by the State Department of Education, with special services in Physical Education, Music, Title I Reading and Special Education.  Chariton High School is also accredited by the Iowa Department of Education and offers over one hundred twenty-five courses for student selection.

Kindergarten children must be 5 years old and pre-school children must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 15.  Physical exams and immunization cards should be sent to the student’s school before the start of school.  Verification of birthdate (birth certificate) is required before kindergarten/pre-school entrance.  Please bring your child’s Social Security Card to registration.

The Chariton Community School District will operate an all day, every day, kindergarten program for the 2017-2018 school year.  Pre-school will operate on a half day/4 day per week program.
